An award winning brewery on the Anschutz Medical Campus, Ursula Brewery has an interesting albeit short history. We opened in 2014 under the name Coda Brewing Company, but decided in early 2016 to make some changes. While change is always a trying and difficult experience, we believe what we are doing now is better than ever… and we’re sticking with Ursula this time. While you’ll still see some of the great award winning American Ales from our Coda days, as Ursula we’re developing a more diverse range of beer including Belgian, German, and historical beers, and doing our hardest work trying to get that beer into the hands of our customers.
Scott Procop our fearless leader (and owner) has 25 years of business experience, Proprietor of the Year and Financial Manager of the Year awards, and operates a successful taproom (Cedar Creek Pub) across the street from Ursula Brewery.
David Olson joined the team as a volunteer and was eventually hired on full time. In October 2015, David’s recipe for “Via Chicago” earned the sophomore brewery a silver medal at the Great American Beer Festival in the “American-Style Strong Pale Ale” category. In February of 2016 Dave was named headbrewer of the newly renamed Ursula Brewery and began the changeover you see today on Ursula’s tap list and bottled offerings.
