Brett Dwyer

Brett started home brewing in 2013 and learned his base of knowledge by reading and listening to The Brewing Network, mostly Brew Strong. He first volunteered with Kalona Brewery in Kalona, IA and says he is forever in debt to those guys for letting him get his foot through the door of the brewing industry. After moving to Colorado he quickly starting hanging out at Ursula, and started volunteering in the summer of 2014. In April of 2016 we decided we needed someone who had experience in propping yeast and monitoring fermentations. Since Brett has his B.S. in Biology/Genetics and has spent the better part of a decade in labs doing research, he was the perfect fit! In his free time, Brett enjoys home brewing, playing and watching sports (mostly watching these days), and hiking. He says he owes a lot of the original push to get into brewing to the greatest woman is his life, his wife Emma. “I would not be where I am today without her.”
